absolutely love the site and the intention behind it!! back in march i switched over to a flip phone because i hated how addicted i was to being constantly connected and i kept my iphone for when i'm at home so i can still do groupchats on whatsapp but i keep feeling like i'm still falling into the same trap whenever i do have wifi. i feel like you're inspiring me to once again reassess how i'm spending my free time and communicating with the people in my life and to maybe try and develop new skills. how are you learning coding? and separately, what books have you been reading lately? i think i might want to start reading more and writing a little something about the things i read.

based af of you to switch to a flip phone. i love that. & yeah that makes sense tho that the same things come up again when you do have wifi. the things about free time is what really got me started on this like way back when i was kicking my scrolling habit, and yes i think learning new skills is perfect response to this!
hmm.. its so long to detail here, but kind of a mixed methods way. i had a test page that i would practice on, like just making boxes, or i'd copy an already existing code and add/delete/change things to kind of see what lines affected what displays. and then some tutorials ofc (petrapixel has a great site with lots of info.) i feel like i would just kind of following my learning process and look things up and try things? & i also spent time before any of this sketching out my ideas on paper, so when i would choose what things i wanted to learn, it was because i wanted it to be on the site.

a little bit ago i read "My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness" by Kabi Nagata. it's really special to me and is so intimate around subject matter that also is apart of my life. and actually has some themes about a personal creative process now that i think about it.
i think writing a bit about what you read is a fantastic idea! when i do that, i feel like i digest more of what i just read and it stays with me longer.
